Fields of Cooperation
The legal base between Georgia and the Republic of Finland covers 3 Agreements and regulates areas such as environmental protection, promotion of investments and development of cooperation, double taxation.
The cooperation is developing in the fields of trade, economy and education. Georgia and the Republic of Finland actively cooperate within the framework of international organizations.
Every year with the support of Finland, 4 representatives from Georgia have the opportunity to participate in 9-month educational course on International Relations and European Integration at the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
The government of Finland with the UNDP office carried out projects of Borjomi-Kharagauli forest ecosystem rehabilitation and water monitoring system.
Under the umbrella of the EU projects, the Academy of Ministry of Finance of Georgia has a dynamic cooperation with Finland’s public administration institutions. The purpose of the project is to develop the capacity of academy’s institutions and to ensure high level training and professional carrier in the system of the Georgian Ministry of Finance.
