Georgian wine tasting in Helsinki

A Georgian wine presentation and tasting event was held in Helsinki, organized by the Embassy of Georgia and supported by the National Wine Agency of Georgia. The event attracted over 40 attendees, including sommeliers, wine importers, media representatives, and professionals from the Horeca sector.

Irakli Cholobargia, a wine expert from the National Wine Agency, spoke about the history of Georgian wine production, its varietal diversity, and the traditional Qvevri winemaking technology. The discussion also covered the current scale of Georgian wine production, the various types of wine available, global demand, and export trends.

The Embassy and the National Wine Agency plan to continue their fruitful collaboration to further promote Georgian wine in the local market.
