On November 28, Ambassador Irakli Khutsurauli held a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment of Finland, Terhi Lehtonen. The sides discussed issues related to deepening cooperation between Georgia and Finland in the field of environmental protection.  

Special attention was paid to sharing experience and best practices in reducing carbon emissions, developing eco-tourism and waste management, including, managing hazardous waste.

The sides agreed that in the nearest future the Embassy of Georgia would organize a webinar between the ministries of environment of Georgia and Finland, which would be attended by the ministries` management and experts.  

Sides expressed readiness to continue existing close cooperation in the future.
